SYMPTOMS

When you insert code from the Code Librarian to an open module, you receive a Code Librarian dialog box that contains no text.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Developer Service Release 1 (SR-1).

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office 2000 Developer SR-1.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

Start any Office program that uses Visual Basic for Applications.
Press ALT+F11 to start the Microsoft Visual Basic Editor.
On the Insert menu, click Module.
If the Code Librarian command is on the Add-ins menu, skip to Step 7.
On the Add-ins menu, click Add-in Manager.
Click Code Librarian. Then, make sure the Loaded/Unloaded check box is selected.
On the Add-ins menu, click Code Librarian. The default library, codelib.mdb, opens.
Click any topic in the Contents list on the left.
Open any code sample from the code column.
On the Code menu, click Insert in Module. Note that the dialog box contains no text.
Click OK. Note that the code is inserted into the module.
