OLEXP: HotMail Messages Disappear in Outlook Express Folders

SYMPTOMS

When you move e-mail messages into a HotMail sub-folder you created in Outlook Express, the messages may disappear.

You are able to see the messages using the HotMail Web site interface, but not in Outlook Express.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if the sub-folder name contains an ampersand (&) symbol.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, remove the ampersand from the name.
