MOD2000: Access Run-Time Version Always Included Even If You Do Not Select the Include Access Runtime Check Box

SYMPTOMS

In the Package and Deployment Wizard, if you select and clear the Include Access Runtime check box repeatedly, and if you then leave the Included Files page with the Include Access Runtime check box cleared to go to the next page, the Include Access Runtime check box becomes selected again.

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Developer Service Release 1 (SR-1).

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior

In Microsoft Excel, create and save a workbook.
On the Tools menu, point to Macro, and then click Visual Basic Editor.
In the Visual Basic Editor, if the Package and Deployment Wizard command is on the Add-ins menu, skip to Step 6.
On the Add-ins menu, click Add-in Manager.
In Add-in Manager, click VBA Package and Deployment Wizard. Click to select the Loaded/Unloaded check box, and then click OK.
On the Add-ins menu, click Package and Deployment Wizard.
In the Package and Deployment Wizard, click Package.
On the Included Files screen, select the Include Access Runtime check box. If prompted to do so, browse to the location of the Access run-time version.
Click the Include Access Runtime check box three more times: off, on, off.
Click Next. Click Back. Note that the Include Access Runtime check box is now selected.
