When you log off of your Windows 2000-based computer, you may receive an error message that indicates that your user profile cannot be unloaded. You may also receive the following event in the event log:
Type : Error Event Id : 1000 Description : Windows cannot unload your registry file. If you have a roaming profile, your settings are not replicated. Contact your administrator. Detail: Access is denied CAUSE
This problem can occur if a handle to a registry key is not closed correctly. This can occur when you use Microsoft Internet Explorer to view a Web site that requires the use of client-side certificates.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Internet Explorer version 5.01 or Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the
