Symptoms

When you right-click a printer and then click Properties, the desktop may be redrawn but nothing else may happen (the printer properties are not displayed). General printing functionality seems to be unaffected by this behavior.

Cause

This behavior can occur if Novell Distributed Print Services is installed.

Resolution

To work around this behavior, remove Novell Distributed Print Services version 4.7.
