SUMMARY

This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft Access 2010 hotfix package that is dated June 28, 2011.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Consider the following scenario. You open a database form that contains a text box control in Microsoft Access 2010. You run a VBA code to set the value of the text box control to a null. In this scenario, the text box control changes the null value to a default value.
  • Certain custom ActiveX controls that function correctly in Office Access 2007 or earlier versions may crash in Access 2010.

  • Consider the following scenario. You open a database continuous form in the right-to-left orientation view in Access 2010. You click the field in a text box control. In this scenario, a vertical line appears in the text box control.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You create a form that contains a sub-form in an .adp file in Access 2010.
    • The Server Filter By Form feature is enabled in the form.
    • You open the form many times.

In this scenario, lots of memory is consumed and the memory cannot be freed after the form is closed. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:

There isn’t enough memory to perform this operation. Close unneeded programs and try the operation again.
  • 2581495 Access 2010 Error: "The text file specification '<number>' does not exist. You cannot import, export, or link using the specification" when running a macro
