INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You have two Office Word 2007 instances running on your computer.
    • You insert a quick part item into Office Word 2007 instance.
    • You try to insert another quick part item in the second Office Word 2007 instance.

    In this scenario, you receive the following error message:

    File in Use. Building Block.dotx is locked by <UserName>
  • Assume that a specific table that contains vertically merged cells spans two pages in an Office Word 2007 document. When you insert a space line before the specific table, the text after the table disappears.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You have an Office Word 2007 template on a mapped network drive.
    • You set the Workgroup Templates Path to the mapped network drive in an Office Word 2007 client.
    • You move the template to a different network location.
    • You reset the Workgroup Templates Path to the new network location.
    • You open a document that uses the template.

    In this scenario, the document cannot find the template.
  • When you combine multiple documents in Office Word 2007, changes in the documents are not merged correctly.
  • Bookmarks that are in nested content controls are removed in a document when you save the document in a .doc file format in Office Word 2007.
