Error Message: Assertion Failure Datagram: Connection Mutex ProblemArticle ID: 254495 - View products that this article applies to. This article was previously published under Q254495 SYMPTOMS
During a cluster stress test, a connection problem may occur when you perform a failover.
CAUSE
During automatic reconnection for the cluster node, the original connection's mutex is released to make a new connection, and the new connection takes the mutex. However, the new connection is not made, and the original connection's mutex is not retaken. A mutex is an inter-process synchronization object whose state is set to signaled when it is not owned by any thread, and nonsignaled when it is owned. Only one thread at a time can own a mutex object. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000.
