When you try to open a drawing that you created based on the Organization Chart solution (Organization Chart.vst), Visio 2000 displays the Organization Chart progress indicator but may then stop responding. After it stops responding, you need to press CTRL+ALT+DEL to close Visio.

This problem occurs when you use the Connector tool to draw dynamic connectors between shapes rather than using the built-in connectors.

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Visio 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1).

To obtain SR-1, click the article number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: You can also download an updated Organization Chart.vsl file and place it in your Visio 2000\Solutions\Organization Chart folder. Click Yes in the message that appears, asking you to replace the existing file with the updated one.
