SYMPTOMS

Network Load Balancing, in some circumstances, may not manage client connections efficiently and may cause an unnecessary drain on system resources.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

Windows 2000

This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 1.

Windows NT 4.0

A fix for this behavior is now available.
