This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 hotfix package that is dated December 11, 2012.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Assume that you apply the shadow effect to a text box control on a PowerPoint 2010 slide. When you print the slide, vertical lines are displayed unexpectedly next to the text box control in the print out.

Note To resolve this issue, you must also enable this hotfix by following the steps that are described in the "Registry key information" section.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You create a macro that can add some text boxes and edit text in the text boxes.
    • You run the macro in a slide.
    • You make some changes in the slide.
    • You click the Undo command several times on the Quick Access Toolbar.
    • You click the Redo command one time.
In this scenario, the text boxes disappear.

Note This issue also occurs when you use the keyboard to perform an undo (Ctrl+Z) or redo (Ctrl+Y) command.
