INTRODUCTION

This cumulative update for Microsoft BizTalk Adapter Pack 2.0 contains hotfixes for Microsoft BizTalk Adapter Pack 2.0 issues that were resolved after the release of BizTalk Adapter Pack 2.0.

We recommend that you test hotfixes before you deploy them in a production environment. Because the builds are cumulative, each new update release contains all the hotfixes and all the security updates that were included in the previous BizTalk Adapter Pack 2.0 update release. We recommend that you consider applying the most recent update release that contains this hotfix.

  • One cumulative update package includes all the component packages. However, the cumulative update package updates only those components that are installed on the system.

How to obtain cumulative update package 3 for BizTalk Adapter Pack 2.0

A supported cumulative update package is now available from Microsoft. However, the cumulative update package is intended to correct only the problems that are described in this article. Apply the cumulative update package only to systems that are experiencing these specific problems. This cumulative update package may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by any of these problems, we recommend that you wait for the next BizTalk Adapter Pack service pack. The next service pack will contain the hotfixes that are in this cumulative update package.

Installation Notes

This cumulative update contains the following updates to WCF LOB Adapter SDK, to Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for SQL Server package, and to Microsoft BizTalk Adapter Pack.

To apply this cumulative update, download the appropriate packages for Microsoft BizTalk Server:

If you use BizTalk Server branch edition together with standalone Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for SQL Server, download and install the fix that has “File name” - 2557150_SQLADaptor.

If you use BizTalk Adapter Pack 2.0, download and install the fix that has “File name” - 2557150_ENU.

Prerequisites

To apply this update, you must have BizTalk Adapter Pack 2.0 or Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) Line-of-Business (LOB) Adapter SDK Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed.

Notes
  • You must stop the following BizTalk services before you apply this cumulative update package, and then you must start these services after you apply this cumulative update package.
    • ENTSSO service
    • IISADMIN service
    • WINMGMT service
    • BTSNTSVC service
  • In an environment that has multiple computers, you must install this cumulative update package on each computer individually.

Restart requirement

You may have to restart the computer after you apply this cumulative update package.

The English version of this cumulative update package has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.

Note This cumulative update package is a single package that applies to both 32-bit computers and 64-bit computers.
