Application might crash and encounter a System.NullReferenceException exception in the .NET Framework 4 if the CorrelationManager.LogicalOperationStack property is usedArticle ID: 2563373 - View products that this article applies to. On This PageSYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario:
In this scenario, the application might crash and encounter a System.NullReferenceException exception. Additionally, you receive the following error message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. CAUSEThis issue occurs because of an error in the common language runtime (CLR). When the System.Runtime.Remoting.MessagingLogicalCallContext class in the CLR uses a CorrelationManager object, the CLR does not make a deep copy of the object. However, the reference to the CorrelationManager object might be used in another thread. Therefore, a System.NullReferenceException exception might be generated when multiple threads access a CorrelationManager object.
