SYMPTOMS

You have a webpage in which you use JavaScript to update the background-origin sub-property of the background shorthand property. When you browse the webpage in Windows Internet Explorer 9, the onPropertyChange event that results from the background-origin update incorrectly reports the update as a background-image update. Therefore, the onPropertyChange event does not occur.
