Symptoms

If you are using Microsoft CRM 1.2 or Microsoft CRM 3.0 you are unable to upgrade directly to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011.

Cause

In order to upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 you need to upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 and then upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011.

Resolution

If you are using Microsoft CRM 3.0 then you need to upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 first.
