CAUSEThis issue occurs because the threads that access the extrace data are not well synchronized by Extrace.dll. This behavior may cause a deadlock in the Remote Registry service. Therefore, applications or services that depend on the Remote Registry service stop working. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, install the following update rollup: 2608656
