SYMPTOMS

When you install Internet Explorer 5.5 or 6 in Microsoft Windows 2000, you are not prompted to specify an installation location for Internet Explorer.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6 install only core browser and scripting files in existing folders in Windows 2000. You cannot specify a new location.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
