Cannot Use NetMeeting to Participate in Microsoft Exchange Conferencing Online Meeting

When you attempt to use NetMeeting 3.0 or later to participate in a Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server online meeting, you may be unable to do so. You may be unable to connect to the meeting, or after you connect to the meeting you may be unable to perform certain tasks or use certain features. For example, some of the meeting participants may not appear in NetMeeting or you may be unable to use the audio and video features that are normally available.

These problems can occur under the following conditions:

• The H.323 service provider in Windows 2000 is not fully compatible with the T.120 data conferencing capabilities supported by NetMeeting 3.0 and later.
• The H.323 service provider in Windows 2000 may not correctly prioritize G.723.1 requests from programs running on the server.
• The H.323 and Internet Protocol (IP) multicasting service providers in Windows 2000 do not fully support the method that Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server uses to provide audio and video functionality.
