SUMMARY

After you install a third-party MP3 software package on a computer that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 or Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server, files that have the .stm file name extension may be associated with the third-party MP3 player. By default, Exchange streaming database files end in .stm, and therefore, are also associated with the MP3 software.

MORE INFORMATION

This association does not interfere with the operation of Exchange. However, be careful not to double-click any Exchange database files ending in .stm (such as Priv1.stm, Pub1.stm, and so on), as the third-party MP3 software will attempt to open these files based on this new association.

APPLIES TO
