When you use Microsoft Outlook, you can save a calendar as a Web page
so that you can share it with others. For example, you can post a calendar with
important project dates as a Web page on your company intranet. You can also
post your soccer team's game schedule as a Web page on your personal Web site.
You can then refer others to the calendar if you give them the Uniform Resource
Locator (URL).
When you save a calendar as a Web page, you can specify the
start date and the end date, include appointment details that are entered in
the text section of the appointment, and add a background color or image.
To save your calendar as a Web page:
| 1. | On the View menu, point to Go To, and then click Calendar. |
| 2. | On the File menu, click Save as Web Page. If you do not have
the Internet Explorer Web Publishing Wizard installed, you receive a prompt
that tells you how to install the wizard. |
| 3. | Under Duration, type a start date in the Start Date box, and then type an end date in the End Date box. |
| 4. | Under Options, choose the options that you want. |
| 5. | Type a title for the calendar in the Calendar
title box. |
| 6. | In the File Name box, type the path to the location where you want to save the
files, and then click Save.
The path can be to your hard drive, to a shared
network folder, or to a Web server where you have permissions to create files.
If the path is on your hard drive, the calendar is saved as a Hypertext Markup
Language (.htm) file in a folder that uses the title as both the file name and
the folder name. |
