Access Violation When You Close Internet Explorer Window

SYMPTOMS

When you close an Internet Explorer window, you may receive an "Access violation" error message. This occurs when a new window that contains a .pdf file (starting Adobe Acrobat Reader) is opened by a document containing a frame set that contains another .pdf file, and you then close the original window.

RESOLUTION

The access violation occurs in the Pdf.ocx address space. The Pdf.ocx file is provided by Adobe. Please contact Adobe for additional information.
