SYMPTOMS

If you install the Exchange Server 5.5 Calendar Connector without installing the GroupWise connector, or the proxy generator to be specific, system objects do not receive a GroupWise proxy address. The local server system attendant must have a GroupWise proxy address for the Calendar Connector to work properly.

If you are experiencing this problem, the following events are logged, providing that event logging is turned on for the Calendar Connector:
Event 6001 HrProcessNextTransactionFailed
Event 6001 Unable to find Requestor in Directory

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the Active Directory Connector (ADC) does not replicate the proxy address for system objects changed in Exchange 2000.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use either of the following methods:
  • Manually add a valid proxy address to the system attendant of the Calendar Connector Server (GWISE:Exchange.Site.server-SA).

    or
  • Install the latest Exchange Server 5.5 GroupWise proxy generator on the connector server.

MORE INFORMATION

This problem occurs in this environment with any connector that requires a proxy address for system objects, for example, Microsoft Mail, Lotus Notes, Lotus cc:Mail, and so on.
