When you upgrade from one edition of Visio 2000 to another (for example, from Standard Edition to Enterprise Edition) by using the Add/Remove Programs icon in Control Panel, the following problems may occur:
CAUSE
Some system files may be missing or need to be updated. To upgrade from one edition of Visio 2000 to another, you must run the Setup program from the Visio 2000 Upgrade CD. If you try to upgrade by using the Add/Remove Programs icon in Control Panel, some system files may not be installed or updated.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods.
Method 1: Reinstall/Repair Visio with the Installation ManagerThe Microsoft Visio Installation Manager allows you to repair Visio, to add or to remove features, and to uninstall Visio. The Reinstall/Repair feature replaces lost or damaged file and configuration settings.
Method 2: Uninstall Visio and Run Setup to ReinstallUninstall Visio 2000 from your computer, and then reinstall it by running the Setup program from the Visio 2000 CD (or network, if a network installation is preferred). To remove Visio 2000, follow these steps:
