Summary

This article lists the Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010 issues that are resolved in the hotfix package that is dated December 11, 2012.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • This hotfix package adds a checker to SharePoint Foundation 2010. The checker identifies the list schemas that exceed the list schema limit in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 before you upgrade a SharePoint server from SharePoint Foundation 2010 to SharePoint Server 2013.

  • Assume that you configure metadata navigation for a list in SharePoint Foundation 2010. Additionally, assume that a metadata column in the list contains a RowOrdinal property whose value is greater than 0. When you use the metadata filters to filter the list, no results are returned.

  • After you apply update 2597014 on a SharePoint Foundation 2010 server, the Data Form web part is not displayed on SharePoint webpages. Additionally, the following error message is logged in the Unified Logging Service (ULS) logs:

Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute.

2597014 Description of the SharePoint Server 2010 cumulative update package (SharePoint server-package): December 13, 2011

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You create a custom content type that contains a custom column on a SharePoint server. The custom column is named "Description."

    • You add the custom content type to a document library.

    • You add a document to the document library.

    • You apply update 2598354 on the SharePoint server.

    • You check out the document, you edit some values in the "Description" column, and then you save the document.

In this scenario, the values that you edited are not displayed.

  • Assume that you add multiple attachments to a list item in SharePoint Foundation 2010. In this situation, the attachments are not displayed in alphabetical order in the list item.

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You enable a shortcut (.lnk file) for an Office document on your local computer.

    • You upload the document to a document library.

    • You enter a value for a property of the document, and then you save the document.

    • You use an Office client to open the document.

In this scenario, the value that you entered for the property is not displayed.

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You type text in a Content Editor web part on a SharePoint site.

    • You select some text in the Content Editor web part.

    • You use the Rich Text Editor editing tool to create a hyperlink for the text that you selected.

    • You click the From Address button.

    • The Insert Hyperlink dialog box appears after more than one second.

In this scenario, the text is not displayed in the Insert Hyperlink dialog box.

  • After you assign multiple authentications for a site collection to a user, the user cannot access the site collection.

  • When you start a reusable workflow on a list item in a document library, you receive the following error message on the workflow status page:

Note: Due to heavy load, the latest workflow operation has been queued. It will attempt to resume at a later time.

After you wait for several minutes, the workflow restarts. Then, duplicate tasks are created unexpectedly in the workflow.

  • Assume that an announcements list uses the Dispform.aspx webpage as the default display form in SharePoint Foundation 2010. After you configure a different default display form, the announcements list still uses the Dispform.aspx webpage as the default display form.

  • Assume that the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) address of a user profile differs from the work email address of the user profile. After you add the name of the user profile to a column in a SharePoint list, the user presence information for the user profile is not displayed in the list. Additionally, the work email address of the user profile is not displayed correctly.

  • Assume that you attach multiple attachments that use the same name to an email message. When you send the email message to a discussion board on a SharePoint site, the email message and attachments are not added to the discussion board.

  • Queries that use the Listdata.svc service on a SharePoint server consume 100 percent of CPU resources.

  • Assume that you create a document in a document library on a SharePoint Server 2010 site. Additionally, assume that your user name is displayed as the name of the author of the document. When you search for the document on the site, the name of the author of the document is not displayed correctly in the search results.

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You access a site collection as an anonymous user.

    • The site collection contains a Content Query web part, and a calendar list is displayed in the Content Query web part.

    • You click a calendar item in the calendar list.

In this scenario, you cannot access the calendar item. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

    401 Unauthorized access
