Switch from DVD Player to Full-Screen MS-DOS Session Creates Pink Lines

SYMPTOMS

If you press ALT+TAB to switch between a DVD movie and a full-screen MS-DOS session, you may see pink lines on both sides in DVD Player.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you are using a Cinemaster Ravisent hardware decoder and an ATI Rage Pro video adapter.

RESOLUTION

To prevent this problem from occurring, do not switch between DVD movies and a full-screen MS-DOS session.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
