SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:

  • On a Windows 7 multitouch enabled PC, you launch the Windows Paint application.
  • You change the color palette in Paint.
  • You attempt to draw multiple lines simultaneously using a multitouch gesture.

In this scenario, the lines may not be drawn the first time you perform the gesture.  If you attempt to perform the same gesture again, the lines are drawn as expected.

CAUSE

After changing the color palette in Paint, there is a small delay where it may ignore a Windows touch gesture.

RESOLUTION

After changing the color palette in Paint, wait a few seconds before performing a multitouch gesture within the application.
