Description of the Microsoft Windows registry SYMPTOMS
When you use the CreateObject function to create an instance of the CDONTS.NewMail object, from an Active Server Pages (ASP) page with Anonymous permissions set up, the following error message occurs:
error '8002801d' Library not registered CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the everyone account does not have read permissions for the type library settings for the Collaboration Data Object for Windows NT Server (CDONTS) object in the registry. This behavior is by design. RESOLUTIONWarning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk. To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:
