Dial-Up Connection Is Dropped When You Stop RRAS

SYMPTOMS

If you stop Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS) on your Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer while a dial-up connection is active, the dial-up connection is dropped and your modem may stop responding (hang). If you try to reestablish the dial-up connection, you may receive the following error message:
Cannot connect the phonebook entry.
Error 756: The connection is already being dialed.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, restart your computer.
