SUMMARY

This article describes the Microsoft Office Excel 2010 issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated October 28, 2011.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • When you use the ZOrder method for an ActiveX control in Excel 2010, the ZOrder method does not work. This occurs when Excel 2010 is in non-design mode. For example, the BringToFront method does not work correctly when Excel 2010 is in non-design mode.
  • Assume that you have an Excel workbook that contains a ListBox control. When you hold down the Ctrl key and then click a ListBox item in Excel 2010, the ListBox control is selected instead of the ListBox item.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You create a Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) session to connect to a computer that has Windows Server 2003 64-bit edition installed.
    • You start Excel 2010 though the RDP session, and then you try to paste text into a workbook.
In this scenario, Excel 2010 crashes.
  • The performance of Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code is significantly slower in Excel 2010 compared to Office Excel 2003.
