SUMMARY

This article describes the Microsoft Office Excel 2007 issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated March 7, 2012.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • When you print a workbook that contains graphs, parts of the graphs are not displayed in the printout, or graphs that should be printed in the background are printed in the foreground.
  • When Excel 2007 does not display a workbook, and you call the GetPermission method, Excel 2007 crashes.
  • Assume that you have two Excel workbooks that contain the same data in the same row. You open one of the workbooks in Excel 2007, and you open the other workbook in Internet Explorer. When you remove the row that contains the data in Internet Explorer, the row that contains the same data in the other workbook is removed unexpectedly.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You have two Excel 2007 workbooks that use Open XML Formats or Binary Interchange File Format 12 (BIFF 12). The workbooks are located in two separate folders that are mapped to a mounted drive.
    • One of the Excel workbooks contains links to data in the other Excel workbook. For example, workbook A contains links to data in workbook B.
    • You use a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path to open workbook B. For example, you use the \\server\share\main path to open workbook B.
    • You open workbook A and then update the links in workbook A to the data in workbook B.
In this scenario, the changes are not saved in workbook A. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
This workbook contains one or more links that cannot be updated.
