No DVD Audio with ESS Maestro Sound Cards

SYMPTOMS

When you install Windows Millennium Edition with an ESS Maestro sound card, you may not hear any audio during DVD playback.

CAUSE

The ESS Maestro Windows Driver Model driver does not support DVD audio.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install the manufacturer's driver for this sound card.
