INTRODUCTION

This cumulative update for Microsoft BizTalk Adapter Pack 2.0 contains hotfixes for issues that were resolved after the release of BizTalk Adapter Pack 2.0.

We recommend that you test hotfixes before you deploy them in a production environment. Because the builds are cumulative, each new update release contains all the hotfixes and all the security updates that were included in the previous BizTalk Adapter Pack 2.0 update release. We recommend that you consider applying the most recent update release. 

Important notes about this cumulative update package 

  • One cumulative update package includes all the component packages. However, the cumulative update package updates only those components that are installed on the system.

How to obtain this cumulative update package

A supported cumulative update package is now available from Microsoft. However, the cumulative update package is intended to correct only the problems that are described in this article. Apply the cumulative update package only to systems that are experiencing these specific problems. This cumulative update package may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by any of these problems, we recommend that you wait for the next BizTalk Adapter Pack service pack. The next service pack will contain the hotfixes that are in this cumulative update package.

If the cumulative update is available for download, there is a "Hotfix download available" section at the top of this Knowledge Base article. If this section does not appear, contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support to obtain the cumulative update package.

Prerequisites

To apply this update, you must have BizTalk Adapter Pack 2.0 or Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) Line-of-Business (LOB) Adapter SDK Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed.

If a Readme.txt file is included in this update package, see the Readme.txt file for more information about how to install this update.

Notes
  • To install this cumulative update package, stop the following services before you start the installation, and then restart these services when the installation is finished:
    • Enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO) (ENTSSO)
    • IIS Admin Service (IISADMIN)
    • Windows Management Instrumentation (Winmgmt)
  • On a network, you must install this cumulative update package on each computer asynchronously. When installations are performed asynchronously, multiple servers do not try to apply SQL updates at the same time.

Installation Notes

This cumulative update package contains updates for WCF LOB Adapter SDK, for Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for SQL Server, and for Microsoft BizTalk Adapter Pack. 

If you use BizTalk Server Branch edition together with standalone BizTalk Adapter for SQL Server, download and install the fix that has the 2604327_SQLAdaptor text in the file name.
If you use BizTalk Adapter Pack 2.0, download and install the fix that has the2604327_ENU text in the file name.

Restart requirement

You might have to restart the computer after you apply this cumulative update package.

File information

The English version of this cumulative update package has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.

Note This cumulative update package is a single package that applies to 32-bit computers and to 64-bit computers. When you install this update, the update package updates 32-bit and 64-bit versions of BizTalk Adapter Pack 2.0 and of WCF LOB Adapter SDK SP2 on a computer.
