FP2000: Cannot Change the Hidden Form Field Values

When you edit the value of a hidden form field, and then you close and open the forms page again, the new value of the hidden field is not retained in the HTML code. However, the new value appears correctly in the Advanced Form Properties box.

To work around this issue, do one of the following.

Method 1

Before you edit your hidden form field value, follow these steps:

1. Remove the hidden form field from the Advanced Form Properties box.
2. Save and close the forms page.
3. Open the forms page again, and enter the hidden form field again with your new value in the Advanced Form Properties box.

Method 2

Change the value of the hidden form field by editing the HTML code.

Method 3

Before you edit your hidden form field value, follow these steps:

1. On the Tools menu, click Page Options.
2. Click the HTML Source tab.
3. Click to select the Reformat using the rules below button, and then click OK.
