To find out which version of Internet Explorer you're using, the cipher strength (SSL) it is using, the product identification number, or to see when the latest update was applied, use one of the following steps:

  • Open Internet Explorer from the Start screen. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Settings. (If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move up the mouse pointer, and then click Settings.) Then tap or click About.
  • Open the desktop, and then open the desktop version of Internet Explorer. Tap or click the Tools button, and then tap or click About Internet Explorer.
  • Open Internet Explorer, click Help in the Menu bar, and then click About Internet Explorer.
