IIS Convlog Stops Processing IIS Log File If the URL Ends with a Comma

SYMPTOMS

Convlog.exe stops processing valid Internet Information Services (IIS) log files if the URL ends with a comma. A comma is the standard IIS log format separator.

If an HHTP get request for an URL ends with a comma (for example, if you incorrectly specify "document.ht," instead of "document.htm"), IIS logs an incorrect record. The following sample log excerpt demonstrates an incorrect log file created by specifying "document.ht,":

127.0.0.1, LUCTD\luct, 10/5/99, 10:44:02, W3SVC1, JT, 127.0.0.1, 0, 449, 623, 404, 2, GET, /1.document.ht,, -,

Convlog considers this record invalid and stops processing the other records in the file.
