Incorrect Short Date Format in Control Panel with Czech Regional Options Selected

SYMPTOMS

In Czech Windows 2000 and U.S. Windows 2000 with the Czech regional option selected, there is an extra space in the default short date format. The date format is
DD.MM. YYYY
instead of:
DD.MM.YYYY
Programs that require field-specific date data may have problems processing the extra space.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 1.
