Malformed Component Attribute Issue in Internet Explorer

SYMPTOMS

If you place a long string in the CODEBASE attribute of an OBJECT tag, the buffer may be exceeded and Internet Explorer may stop responding (hang) or display the following error message:
Iexplore has caused an error in "<UNKNOWN>". Iexplorer will now close.

RESOLUTION
