SUMMARY

The following network cards are not compatible with the functionality of the Media Sense feature used by Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me) and have Media Sense disabled by default.

  • Soho NDC 10/100
  • Realtek 8029
  • LNE II PCI 10/100
  • Dlink 530
  • FE 574b- 3com 10/100

MORE INFORMATION

The following registry keys determine, by Hardware ID assigned to the network adapters' chipset, which cards have Media Sense disabled by default
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\MSTCP\NDI\MediaSenseDisabledList
where MediaSenseDisabledList equals 1.
