No Music in 3D Pinball in Windows Me

SYMPTOMS

When you start 3D Pinball by clicking Start, pointing to Programs, pointing to Games, and then clicking Pinball, you may not hear any music even though Music is selected on the Options menu. Other sounds are played correctly in 3D Pinball.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if there is not a path that points to the Pinball folder in the Start in box in the the properties for the Pinball shortcut.

RESOLUTION

Add the C:\Program Files\Plus\Pinball path in the Start in box in the the properties for the Pinball shortcut:
  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Games, right-click Pinball, and then click Properties.
  2. In the Start in box, type c:\program files\plus\pinball.
  3. Click OK.
Or, you can create a new shortcut to the C:\Program Files\Plus\Pinball\Pinball.exe file.
