When you try to start Streets and Trips on your computer, it may stop responding (hang) at the splash screen. If you let it sit there, a message that indicates the application is "not responding" will appear.
Note This may also occur with products such as MapPoint or AutoRoute.
The problem seems to occur on Windows 7 computers that have Service Pack 1.
Microsoft is investigating this issue and will update this knowledge base article as more information becomes available.
We recommend that you do not uninstall Windows 7 Service Pack 1 from your computer to troubleshoot this problem. Instead, please try the information that is provided in the "Workaround" section of this article.
