Symptoms

In a Microsoft Host Integration Server 2009 environment, you start the Transaction Integrator (TI) Manager MMC snap-in, and the MMC snap-in may close unexpectedly. This behavior occurs when Type Library (TLB) or .NET assembly files that the Transaction Integrator objects reference are not located in the correct folders on the system. When the TI Manager MMC snap-in closes, you receive an MMC access violation error message that resembles the following:

Application name

Application version

Module name

Module version

Offset

Mmc.exe

5.2.3790.3959

Ntdll.dll

5.2.3790.4789

Cause

This problem occurs because Transaction Integrator does not verify that the TLB or .NET assembly files exist when the TI Manager MMC snap-in opens and tries to initialize the files.
