SUMMARY

The Office 2000 SR-1a Update includes both the original Office 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1) Update and the functionality provided by the Office 2000/Windows 2000 Registry Repair Utility. This change in the Setup logic is the only addition to the original SR-1 update.

The "More Information" section of this article outlines several scenarios to help you decide which update, if any, to install.

NOTE: In any of the following situations, if you already applied the SR-1 update, you cannot apply the SR-1a update, nor do you need to apply it. If you try to run the SR-1a update when the SR-1 update has already been applied, the SR-1a update advises you that the update has already been installed and will not continue.
