A customer or representative from the Microsoft Deployment Service Group (DSG) may report unexpected or incorrect configuration of a specific attribute(s) for some of their pilot users after they are migrated. A few examples are:

  • Active Sync enabled by default for all users.
  • Users on a specific subnet are unable to connect to the managed environment.
  • Deskless workers are able to access their mailbox with Outlook.

To ensure a change request (CR) is submitted and properly implemented follow these guidelines:

  • If contacted by a customer or DSG, it is important to collect as much of the following information to escalate appropriately. In some cases, it will be appropriate to escalate as a break/fix issue. In other cases, a CR should be submitted. Note For new customers the DSG contact acts as a Service Delivery Manager (SDM) and can submit CR’s on behalf of the customer.
  • Was this configuration specifically requested through a CR? If so, please ask for the CR number.
  • In the case of new customers, was this configuration specifically requested as part of the original environment design?
  • In the case of upgrading customers, is the new configuration different from the old configuration?
  • In the case where this was not called out during the initial design or a CR was not submitted, please direct the user to submit a CR for review of this new request.
