The Install-csdatabase cmdlet does not use a correct path of the RTCDYN database in Lync Server 2010

SYMPTOMS

Assume that you install the update that is mentioned in Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) article 2493736 in a Microsoft Lync Server 2010 environment. When you run the Install-csdatabase cmdlet with the –update parameter in the Lync Server 2010 Management Shell, the cmdlet does not remember the path of the RTCDYN database.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the dbsetup script does not remember the path of the RTCDYN database if the database path was customized. Therefore, the script moves the RTCDYN database to the default location.

To resolve this issue, install the following cumulative update:
