Windows 2000 Displays Diacritic Characters Incorrectly

SYMPTOMS

The Arabic version of Windows 2000 does not display diacritic or Syriac characters correctly. You can type these characters but they are not displayed properly. This issue also affects the Arabic support in Lotus Notes 5.x.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 1.
