When you upgrade a Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 computer to Exchange 2000, if the Exchange Server 5.5 computer has an Internet Mail Service installed with the DisableReverseResolve registry entry set, this entry is not mapped to the newly upgraded Exchange 2000 server.
CAUSE
This behavior is caused because no registry entries are mapped during the upgrade process.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
