SYMPTOMS

When you move a mailbox from one server to another, Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) routes mail back and forth between servers, and eventually a non-delivery report (NDR) is generated.

CAUSE

When you move a mailbox from one server to another, and mail is sent before the directory change has been replicated, the two servers might set up a mail loop, each thinking that the other has the mailbox.
