How to apply the Office 2000 SR-1/SR-1a Update to Windows 2000 with Terminal Services

How to Update Office 2000

1. Log on as a member of the Administrators group.
2. Make sure that no users are connected to your terminal server.
3. If you do not have the SR1/SR-1a update CD, follow these steps:
   
   
   1. Download O2ksr1adl.exe.
   2. Double-click the O2ksr1adl.exe download.
   3. When prompted, specify any folder on your drive to expand the contents of the O2ksr1adl.exe package.
4. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
5. In Control Panel, double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
6. Click Add New Programs, and then click CD or Floppy.
7. Click Next, and then click Browse.
8. In the root folder of Office 2000 SR1/SR-1a Update CD or the location where you extracted O2ksr1adl.exe, click Setup.exe, and then click OK.
   
   Setup.exe is added to the Command line for installation program box. NOTE: If you are experiencing problems and want to create a verbose log file while installing the SR-1 Update, type setup.exe /L2 /V.

9. Click Next.
10. Click to accept the terms of the license agreement, and then click Next.
11. In the Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 Update dialog box, click Update Office.
12. Continue with the update. When you are prompted to restart the computer, log on as the same user, so that the Microsoft Office 2000 SR1/SR-1a Update can complete the installation.
