Cannot Cancel Saving System Files When Installing Windows Millennium Edition

SYMPTOMS

When you install Windows Millennium Edition (Me) and you choose to save the system files, you may receive the following error message:
Windows Millennium Edition is not completed set up on your system. Are you sure you want to quit Setup ?

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you click Cancel while the system files are being saved.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, click Yes to quit Setup, run Setup again, and then click No when you are prompted to save the system files.

MORE INFORMATION

You may be prompted to use Safe Recovery (this is the default setting). If you click No when you are prompted to save the system files, the uninstall files are not created. These files are required to uninstall Windows Me and return to a previous operating system version.
