Because Internet Explorer 5.01 SP1 installs only core browser, scripting, and Microsoft Outlook Express files on Windows 2000, Setup does not allow you to customize the installation or use any advanced options in the Setup program.

Internet Explorer 5.01 SP1 setup includes Microsoft Outlook Express 5.5 (version 5.50.4133.2400) by default. You can use the following command line with the Internet Explorer Setup program to install Internet Explorer 5.01 SP1 without Outlook Express 5.5:

ie5setup.exe /c:"ie5wzd.exe /m:0 /s:""#e"""

For example, if you download Ie5setup.exe to the C:\Internet Explorer 5.01 SP1 Setup Files folder, your command line looks like the following example:

"C:\Internet Explorer 5.01 SP1 Setup Files\ie5setup.exe" /c:"ie5wzd.exe /m:0 /s:""#e"""
